LIVE (W)HOLE
in a world that's f r a g m e n t e d
it would be preposterous to suggest that your mama's famous chili be served with each ingredient in it's own bowl. beef, beans, peppers, onions, each spice - all separated?
but, isn't that how so many live their lives?
a (w)holistic understanding and respect of a person's God-given mind, body, and soul have the power to transform their approach to everyday life + living in the modern era.
no matter where you are on your journey, you are so welcome here at this table.

Hi, I'm
Alyssa Endres!
Everything is connected. Those three words are basically my middle name.
If you're anything like me, you've seen how "the hustle" wrecks your self-esteem, how artificial fragrance impacts your cycle, and how life and learning are really two sides of the same coin.
And, maybe that's all new to you. Wherever you're at, I'm so glad you're here.
Because, hear me out: when we properly align each corner of our lifestyle and habits with our values, we can step toward the life we dream of living.

![why weekly this winter?👇🏼✨
y'all, social can either be a force for good or not -- it's just not a neutral.
& when you're fighting the ❄️winter blues❄️, you can get SUCKED into consumption > creation *insert doom scroll*
I don't want that right now. or ever. but sometimes I'm in a much better place to resist it. and I'm just not.
PLUS I have some incredibly exciting things coming that I need to FOCUS on without getting lost in the noise.
better mental health + less noise = FORWARD MOTION
here's to doing the thing we know we need to do >>
see ya next Thursday✌🏼
xoxo, alyssa

![lent is a newer practice to me. I didn’t grow up practicing the church calendar. from a former outsider’s perspective, the season of lent is often externally reduced to a period of time where one "fasts from" or “gives up” something they know isn’t good for them (i.e. social media, sugar, coffee, etc.) to help become better versions of themselves to be more “holy” before Easter comes.
however, the Christian life isn’t about “being better.” it’s about being with God, experiencing his love personally, and allowing that to transform how we love, serve, and interact with others. in short, becoming a person of love.
if abstaining from a dependent or draining pattern in your life will help you toward that end, then absolutely you should consider doing so during the season of Lent to help realign your hearts toward God in preparation of celebrating Christ’s resurrection on Easter Sunday.
fasting is actually a specific kind of abstaining. “fasting is a willing abstinence from FOOD for a period of time…[it] is an ancient Christian discipline to break the power of the flesh in our life – our desires, sins, and cravings – and to feed on the Holy Spirit.” @johnmarkcomer
if you are honoring the season of lent, consider this an opportunity to (also) practice fasting from food, even just for a short amount of time.
in full transparency, I am planning on fasting once a week during the 6 weeks of lent, probably from dinner until lunch the next day. I haven’t done too much fasting like this, but I feel convicted by Jesus’ words in the sermon on the mount, “when you fast…” not IF…WHEN.
it’ll be hard. it’s not supposed to be easy. but, I’m praying the Lord will use it to draw me closer to himself during this Lenten season.
I'm going to share a lot of resources on lent and fasting to my story and make a highlight for you all. so much love. 🫶🏼🌿
